About
A small company, on purpose.
Tokyo Vibes is a small team of guides and a short list of days, run out of Shibuya since 2024. We take one booking at a time and we guide it ourselves — which is the whole business model, not a stage we are hoping to grow out of.
Why this exists
It started with the same evening, over and over.
Everyone who visits Japan gets the version of it that is set up to be visited. The queue, the English menu, the place the guidebook sent four hundred other people to that week. It is not bad. It is just not the country the people who live here spend their evenings in.
The difference between the two is almost never money, and it is almost never effort. It is knowing which door, and being known by whoever is behind it. That takes years, and it does not transfer — you cannot put it in an itinerary and hand it to someone.
So the day is the product and the person is the day. That is why we never sell a seat on something, why private means private, and why we would rather run five days properly than fifty badly.

How we work
Four rules, and we don't bend them.
- One group at a time. You never share a day with strangers. There is no minimum number to make a departure viable, because there is no departure — there is your day.
- The person who plans it is the person who turns up. No dispatcher, no pool of interchangeable guides, no name you meet for the first time in a hotel lobby.
- One price, for all of you. It is the clearest possible signal that we are selling a day rather than a number of seats.
- We sell our own days and nothing else. Not flights, not hotels, not transfers. We are guides rather than a travel agency, and we would rather be excellent at one thing.
Who we are
The ones you meet most.
Our guides are a bigger team than this. These five run the most days and hold the best reviews — you meet yours before you leave the lobby, and you have their number from the moment the day is confirmed.
- MomoFood, markets, the counters with no menu.
- HinaThe full-day city — planned tight, walked easy.
- RikaHow Tokyo actually works — trains, habits, the everyday.
- MiwaThe good spots, and the ones you didn't know to ask for.
- AsakoFirst Tokyo days — history told like a friend tells it.
Where to check
Don't take our word for it.
We would rather you read these somewhere we don't control. The counts below are the ones we can stand behind today.
The plain facts
Who you're actually dealing with.
- Tokyo Vibes, trading as a sole proprietor. A real business with one person's name behind it, based in Shibuya and running since 2024.
- Not a travel agency, and we don't pretend to be. We hold no Japanese travel agency registration because we don't arrange transport or accommodation for a fee — we sell our own guiding days. It is also why you deal with the person who will be there.
- Five days, and anything you want built. A short catalogue on purpose. Everything else is a custom day, quoted once we know its shape.

Take one of our days — confirmed the moment you book — or start a custom one, built with a person who usually replies the same day.
